With over 16 years of performing and teaching worldwide, Bamdad specializes in percussion, focusing on handpan/hang drum, Daf, and Tombak. A passionate educator and accomplished performer, he helps students connect with rhythm, melody, and creativity, from meditative soundscapes to stage-ready pieces.
Trained with renowned masters Mahmoud Farahmand Bafi, Pazhham Akhavass, Pejman Haddadi, and Pedram Khavarzamini, and grounded in music theory under Kamran Omid, Bamdad blends rigorous technique with musicality and improvisation.
He has appeared with ensembles such as Sanam, Barbad, Tamooz Trio, and Khonya Ensemble, performing at UNESCO Hall (Paris), Cadogan Hall (London), and Buskers Bern (Switzerland), across recordings, concerts, and theatre.
In lessons, Bamdad emphasizes precision, flow, and creative exploration—covering handpan scales and voicings, dynamic control, groove development, composition and arrangement, as well as traditional Persian rhythms and advanced techniques on Daf and Tombak.
